Ram will never return to Ramjanmabhoomi

Once upon a time, as per the mythology, Ram let go of his wife Sita because a washerman questioned his behavior about accepting Sita. Leaving aside, the multiple beliefs about this event, Ram said that the person who is running the show should always be the person to look upto and not have any allegations against him. Now, Mr. Modi, leave aside all the allegations, how can you be happy at the spate of rape incidents. How can you live and sleep with peace when things like these happen. What has happened to your boasted large chest which gave you lot of pride. Has it shrunk because you cannot deal with things like this.. We all know that you will shift the blame to the local govt. who is responsible for the civic law and order. But, the IPC sections are in your jurisdiction, the overall education and the value driven things are in your hands. Even the openly known Nirbhaya case had to wait for 6 years to finally disallow the capital punishment. How will you stand and te...

My identity!!

If you think that you are what you think you are then you are totally screwed. My exposure to certain things, is really messing with me about my identity in the digital world. As they say, the identity in a digital world is your mail ID, your bogs, your web foot print, my bank balance (which is also a digital entry) and all the stuff associated. But ,through these soc alled social media and various other fraternity, I am no longer the beholder of my identity. I am wat I am perceived through these media. My projection of the same in these apps, and the analysis done by various technologies about me and my presence in these locations determines who am I and what am I capable of.  This left me perturbed because suddenly my space is no longer my own, and its a mirage created that my identity is well being protected. Should it matter, I don't know. I am a novice, but I am as disturbed as Edward snowden was with the amount of awareness he had about it. I do not control myself in...

Acquittal

An enticing article written by Arundhati Roy in Outlook on Prof. Saibaba http://www.outlookindia.com/article/professor-pow/294265 Isn't it ironical that it's been an year that the person mentioned above has been in prison without bail and no charge sheet, whereas our beloved Salman Khan and of course the goddess of many, Ms. jayalalita are acquitted .. (Yeah, I got it .. Salman Khan isn't acquitted, but do you think he won't be!!) Oh, I forgot! Mr. Ramalingaraju is released on bail. ok, I will stop. I will not go down that route. I have no idea about Prof. Sai baba, but the way he is kept under prison is something that questions our ethos. But I also felt sad that I cannot stand up to him. I am also one amongst the millions, living and eventually dying in vain. I shouldn't be acquitted on my unbecoming attitude!! PS: Yes, I have started becoming conscious about my web foot print and hence the diplomatic undertone.

I wish that I did not know

When all that matters is, what will happen the next day. When you know the inevitable When you know the eventuality cannot be stopped When you know you are going to lose an identity When you know your voice is unheard When you know your days are counted When you know your next morning will be split When you know your next drop of water will have to be fought for When you know the decision may never give an option to look back When you know that you will be forced to pay for the visit which we believed was common ancestral property When you know that the days of bilingual talk are over and the pride in staying together ceases to exist All this, when I know that no anguish matters any more! I wish that I did not know!!

tambulalu ichesaamu ika tannuku chaavandi!!

In our place, after the end of meals, betel leaf and nuts are given which earmarks the complete closure of the meal. After this the person who was hosting his role is officially considered complete. He would not care what happens later. So, the phrase above means that "we've extended the betel leaf, our role is over, now you may go to dogs!!" This is the stand of Congress. Hell bent on splitting my state, for a desire of meeting the short term objectives of one elections and later they will decide about the way forward. How will the states compete, what are the aspirations of people, what will happen to the resources sharing? What benefit does it actually create to the state .. Nothing seems to be a matter of concern to the Congress party. Once a party of unification, Congress has siphoned off itself as a party with a track record of splitting the states. I am not sure, what is fun that congress is deriving out of it. We cannot afford so many states. Every one kno...

Man mohana bade Jhoothe!!

I was hearing this famous rendition by Lata ji and the other elite club. ( Link to Youtube version ) I was suddenly awestruck at the Mukhda of the song " Man mohana " bade Jhuthe.. It made me question, who was the song addressed to? It is about "Man" .. the hindi equivalent of 'Heart". But it stuck me again that .. it no longer is intended at "man"...  I need to add "man mohana" .. which actually means dear heart. And then it stuck me again that, even that is incorrect... it actually meant " man mohan " a bade jhuthe... Haa .. I see now, you get it.. "Manmohan"a bade jhuthe.. The rendition was developed 50 years ago protesting against, our Prime minister Mr. Manmohan singh's silence on coal gate scandal, 2G scandal, Hydro power allocation scandal, CBI file read/modify scandal, Land allocation scandal, Chopper procurement scandal, ... ok ok I will stop!! What a song "man mohana" ...

Cultural Begging!!

I didn't know how to coin the term for this...you can help me with the right term after reading the blog During my childhood when high rise apartments weren't the norm and urbanization wasn't in vogue, lot of people would come across your street, perform and ask for alms..more than alms I'd say they were seeking money for the appreciation of their art. Some one would play a shehnai, some one would make a bull perform dance (referred to as gangireddu melam ) or there would be small drama etc.. At the end of all these acts people would contribute what ever amount they can, and the performers in turn would bless whoever has turned up.  In many cases, these performers themselves were considered divine and hence people would throng to see and give whatever they can. This helped many of these artists to survive and flourish in a few instances. They also brought the culture and folklore into limelight and ensured that traditional music thrived. But of late, how many time...

daanamma jeevitham!!

The title literally means "what a pitiable life". I wrote this in anguish about the rampant corruption. I could express it better in my native language telugu, and hence the blog below..(The translation is at the end of the blog)

It is simple silly!!

I was travelling across some areas of Telangana region to assess the energy demand and the propensity of the consumers to switch to gas...I actually took this journey to get an idea on how is the situaion beyond the city limits.. I was happy to know that atleast till a stretch of almost 100 kms away from the main city, things are actually not that bad...there are very good roads, power lines are laid out to the interiors and no where did my mobile stop receiving signals...these are acheivements that I was surprised and indeed felt happy... and now the critic in me is back to the fora.. In an area which is some 50 kms from the city, there were lot of autos plying back and forth between two small towns...we wanted to check how many autos were there and that would be they be interested to convert to CNG based systems... I inquired with some autowallas about the same and I was shocked to know that within a distance of 30 kms, there are close to 1000 autos plying every day...!!!...

Another bamiyan collapse in Hyderabad

How does it matter? they are just idols... (Famous idols demolished in Hyderabad today) idol of a person who has translated the total epic of BHagavatha into telugu, he has taught us the versses, epitome of Telugu literature...so what, if his idol is destroyed.. a king who has built the temple of tirupathi, who being a non-telugu has learnt and has developed beautiful verses in telugu, so what, if his idol is destroyed. big deal, if the idol of Mrs. Molla is destroyed..what contribution did he provide...after all she was the one who translated ramayana in sanskrit to Telugu...is that any great acheivement worth so much that she deserves a idol...big deal... so what if veersalingam pantulu's idol is destroyed..what does he mean to us...all that he does is probably remove sati..eradicate caste differences..was one of the greatest reformer...so what.. and so what if sri sri's idol is destroyed...the one who proclaimed that let me atleast shed a tear to the woes of the world...s...
